2010 Nissan Rogue, works perfectly

Due to massive gas theft and vandalism in my area along a busy main road, the neighbors have emptied their tanks several times in broad daylight. So as soon as I got my car, I bought this gas cap. It wasn't that easy to remove the rubber band from the factory gas cap, but that's another story. I have found that to get a good seal you have to turn right until you hear a loud pop, then you can turn it left and it spins freely until the key is inserted and turned to 12 o'clock. clock position. switches off smoothly. After installing the gas cap, I turned the engine over in the sleet which is now getting RI and the gas cap gauges did not appear. Although it's plastic I noticed that my factory cap is also plastic, the factory cap seems a bit tighter but they are very close. There is no way to fit the factory gas cap on a 2010 Nissan Rogue, so the latch must be removed. So far, so good. I love the new hat. I can sleep at night without checking my car. From my experience as a first time car owner with limited knowledge of motoring, I can understand people complaining: TURN SHARP RIGHT UNTIL YOU HEAR A LOUD POP, turn left and if it spins freely it's on properly. I would advise the manufacturer to put together a set of instructions as I spent an hour putting it on until I tried to force it on and got a bang. Worth the money, great product and I have 2 keys, one for each of my car keys on my 2 shoelaces. .
