Again I wasn't sure about this purchase due to conflicting reviews. I wasn't sure what color I wanted either, so I bought both brown and black and two more bags from other companies. As for the complaints about the smaller strap falling off, that happened with the black leather. Regarding quality control complaints, the black wallet had some issues with the zipper which wasn't entirely silver and turned to gold in places and then back again. Brown was perfect. Out of all the bags, I chose the brown Bostanten leather handbag. The leather was thicker compared to other companies. The straps are genuine leather, not a strip of material sewn onto a plastic or felt strap, and they don't fray or peel like others if you just go to a mirror to see how it looks. brown over black, not due to defects (I would just contact the company for a replacement). Other brown purses on the Revane have been artificially dyed brown. This wallet looks expensive. This is a lighter brown but looks rustic in the sense that it's naturally worn to show the color changes. I always buy black bags and this is the first bag in a different color and it will put all my other bags to shame. I found the measurements to be accurate, all the zippers are well made and easy to put on. The lining is thick and well tailored, and the front welt inner pockets fit a large smartphone and glasses case. Both straps are well made and yes, as others have said, the short strap has nice padding while the longer strap doesn't, which is unfortunate. I've bumped into the car and the garage wall a few times and although I've gotten a few dirty spots there have been no scratches so far. I find it is well made and not too small or big for a petite person to wear as a crossbody or shoulder bag. Now with all the praise come the downsides. Wallet made of soft leather, it also has an unstructured bottom. It doesn't get up on its own. Whenever I put things in the pockets or in the bag, it falls down because it's heavy on the side. I bought a nylon purse organizer to help with this. It helps me keep my stuff organized and centered while also keeping everything in place. The second thing I absolutely hate about a wallet is the center zip pocket. I don't like this feature with or without an organizer. Putting things in a pocket is like a deep hole, and it puts stress on the middle of the wallet so it sits oddly when carried. I don't use it, it's just a nuisance bag, especially with organizer. It compresses the organizer less than if it weren't there, and the bottoms of the wallet sag as you can see in the photos. After having my wallet for over a month it still bothers me. I would like them to make this bag in two styles, with and without a divider. I would happily buy it without hesitation. Now I have an internal conflict about spending $70 for such a nice handbag and am considering cutting out a central zippered pocket so I can properly utilize all the interior space. Strap not getting small enough I literally need a hole or two less and am considering adding them, but as you can see in the picture there is excessive overhang over the hardware that prevents the strap from lying flat when a shorter one Strap used becomes part of handbag, it just hangs like that when worn curved and rounded. I've seen similar complaints with much more expensive wallets.
