The first one we tried was battery operated and had number animals which was so much fun for our 6 year old daughter. But on the 5th day he accidentally fell into the sink. so now we have this. We've had it for about 6 months and it's going strong! It has no batteries, so it's virtually indestructible: you just wind it up once, then set it to the time you want. My daughter loves the little butt on it 🥰 and the little handle on top is perfect for carrying around. The sound of the alarm clock is loud enough for us and our needs, but we also like to take it with us. It has a ticking sound because it's a groovy style, but it doesn't bother us at all, it's not too loud, just a soft ticking. I would definitely recommend this to parents with young children who want something that will stand the test of time when dealing with children.
