Review on 16GB Verbatim Store 'n' Stay Nano USB 3.0 Flash Drive - Blue - Model 98709 by Cody Henry

Before plugging it into a USB port, check it carefully! Might not fit!

I bought this laptop to upgrade an old laptop by installing Chromium OS on it which worked great. There was more resistance when inserting the disc, which I think was part of its "store 'n' stay" design. Tested on three laptops. When I tried it on my Lenovo and Dell laptops, it was quite difficult to remove. First and last time I tried this on my HP laptop, see photos, the blue top popped out immediately when I tried to take it off. I couldn't retrieve it from the laptop. I checked the reviews to see if anyone had the same problem. I saw that it wasn't just my problem. Others have done the same. I contacted Revain for permission to "carefully" remove it with small pliers. (You know, CYA) Revane wanted me to take it to a laptop repair shop! After getting their "clearance" I removed it and Revain is sending a replacement. I looked at both ends and saw that the circuit board wasn't flush with the bottom of the USB metal case, but at a slight angle. I put the blue end back on and made two shots open and powered. Left is another brand and right is Verbatim. You can see the hole is smaller. No wonder I had trouble inserting and removing it in three different laptops! I saw one reviewer carefully apply a Loctite solution to keep the blue cap in place. I can do the same if I receive the replacement sent by Revain, but only after careful visual inspection.
