This product works very well. I bought this to replace the pivot that came with a used trailer we bought. Installation was easy. Just made a trip to Iowa, 800 miles round trip, trailer loaded up to 15,000 pounds and about 2,000 pounds tongue weight (maybe more). The locking mechanism is simple and difficult to confuse. In addition, we use a standard padlock through the hole to lock the pendant. Cheaper and easier than a turnbuckle.
