I bought this because I got a new carpet and was horrified to find my car had peed on it. The problem is that you couldn't see the urine. I asked and saw the cat sniffing in certain spots. In a panic I found this and discovered several urine stains. It's uncomfortable to see the damage, but most importantly I was able to see it and clean it. By the way, I couldn't see the urine because the cat sprayed it very lightly and not in yellow puddles. FYI, the kit's instructions say it only shows dry urine, so keep that in mind.
