good workmanship and customer service

HDMI to RCA CONVERTER I don't normally write many reviews but in this case I know how many ambiguities and outright scams there are, specific to this particular type of signal conversion are . This review is a little wordy but explains a lot and since you're on this page you're obviously looking for the same thing I am and have probably come across all the weird, poorly tested and potentially fraudulent articles that are popping up. at the top of Google search. Maybe take a few minutes and read quickly. I promise this is not a "planned review" of any company to increase sales, I don't work for them and don't know anyone there, this is my first purchase from them (but certainly won't be the last). I'm a regular guy who needed a gadget, found this one and it does exactly what I need. As a skeptic and pessimist, I'm particularly encouraged right now that I found a simple intuitive design, good workmanship and customer service, and a reasonable price (the concept is shrinking these days) and wanted to share my 'research'. I was looking for a way to convert the signal from HDMI to RCA. (Phono AKA jacks, AV or AV cables, RCA jacks, component cables, composite cables, or "those old-fashioned red-yellow-white cables"). It's true that I want to take a high-resolution signal and reduce it significantly. down to a much lower resolution old-school analog signal, but that's exactly what I need for a specific purpose. When I started shopping the first things I found were just cables with RCA connectors on one end and an HDMI connector on the other, but along with these I came across several reviews from frustrated consumers on various online sources that many of these condemned rubbish (not because of their workmanship, but because they just didn't work, period). (Note that this manufacturer makes one that based on the quality of the product I'm reviewing undoubtedly has the best technology and works, but probably just serves a purpose other than my need.) Anyway, I started looking after looking for Revain, assuming they're probably trying to do some scrutiny on their suppliers and probably don't allow "snake oil traders" to sell their products here. I found this product and when I saw that it was a real power converter it immediately boosted my confidence in the product. Somewhere along the way I also saw something that suggests the conversion was usually "unidirectional", which raises the question of whether this is converting from hdmi to rca or from rca to hdmi. I didn't think that the converter could only do one or the other. That makes sense to me, these are two completely different processes. So I went to the "Contact the seller or ask the seller a question" link (another thing I love about Revain) and sent them a message with my question and they responded immediately and provided me with a link to a webpage/item available answered my question but also explained in simple terms how this process works. They have all kinds of products but I was particularly interested in the one I am reviewing here which is HDMI to RCA converted, clearly visible, stamped on the product with a small arrow further confirming direction of travel. However, if I needed one, they also sell another device (not included, OK, separate article) that converts from RCA to HDMI, clearly marked and with an "arrow". As I said before, this is a powered device (obviously there is a mechanism in this little device the size of an old Zippo lighter that needs its own power supply, since unplugging it from the "line" probably does that signal will weaken. ) It's a simple design - just plug in the cables and power cord and you're done - it's metal, not plastic, so it's not cheap or rattles. The box it came in is even handy for storage, with a protective rubber liner so you don't have to just toss it in your device drawer when not in use where it can break or get lost in between all the others. similar things. So, that's my humble opinion. -TO
