The bralette is amazing - soft, stretchy and amazingly supportive even for a C/D cup size. When it comes to packaging, however, commitment to sustainable ideals falls short. The label on the box really boasts about the use of vegetable dyes on recycled paper. But then they covered the box with plastic. I'm serious about doing as little environmental damage as possible and have even spoken to my state's recycling program to make sure I'm doing my best. Paper packaging is generally accepted EXCEPT if covered with plastic/laminate. They recommend checking this before putting any questionable paper in the bin by tearing off the edge. If it tears easily, it's recyclable. If a layer of plastic is found instead, they cannot accept it. (This damages equipment, and then the entire batch of paper with plastic contamination has to be thrown in the regular trash.) Conservation of resources is crucial, and any company that makes an effort is moving in the right direction, BUT plastic is probably the worst possible. something to add to our world and this box sounds like hypocrisy to me. Two steps forward, three steps back 😢
