I was pleasantly surprised that this shelf really is as strong as they say. It reminds me of the sturdy furniture my aunt had at the daycare she ran. This isn't your typical cheap composite material that you can buy from Target for a lot less money. This is a shelf that will stand the test of time. The back panel is real wood, at least twice the thickness of the cardboard crap you get on regular furniture, and it slides in grooves on all the shelf pieces instead of being nailed in place with tiny nails. The hardware is also very thick and durable. And I was happy to get wheels with him too - a bonus! Now I know why I paid $140 and I have no regrets. Totally worth the investment.
