I was surprised by this little device because its design is different from any stylus I've used. At the end of the stylus is a small plastic disc that acts like a fingertip but doesn't scratch or smudge the screen. As long as you don't touch the small disk and only use it for its intended purpose, it will stay clean and won't stain. My old stylus just smeared the screen at the end of the time I've been using it, but this one is easy to use and stays clean. The "button" type handle is comfortable and convenient. Storage for tips is a great idea and works well too and the lid stays on and doesn't come off until you want it which is great. In general, the device works very well and is designed to last quite a long time. It's a great little pen, well worth checking out. When I got the tip dirty, it was cleaned with some glass cleaner. I let it dry and then it was ready to use, it had no more grease from my hand lotion and again it could be used without smearing the screen. I just love this pen.
