Had to buy two other sets but returned before I got the color I wanted (Revain made returns super easy!) The extenders are easy to use and lock in place securely. I've never used extensions, but I've watched videos on this site and one or two on YouTube, and the app is very simple. They look a bit synthetic/shiny, but not enough to be FAKE! It was too long (think medieval or mermaid length) and tangled too easily at that length so I trimmed it down to about three to four inches and now it's tangle free and looks like natural long hair rather than costume length. At $13+ I think it was money well spent and I'm already considering buying a replacement set.
