I originally bought this because I didn't want to drill a hole in the ceiling to hang a bird line. The hooks exceeded my expectations. I then used it for other areas around the house. He could even hold my wallet (always heavy). Hang brooms in the closet etc. Very useful to have. The glue is very strong and the hooks are very strong. UPDATE --- In a month the glue that was holding my bird rope won't hold. My parrots aren't very heavy, but I use them every day. The hooks I use on the side panel still work fine, but I don't think they are designed for the ceiling. Damn
