I have three. They worked great initially, the sound was crystal clear and the distance was impressive. However, the first ad looked messy with parts of characters missing. Then the second month started later. They were never abandoned and always treated with care. The reset should cause all segments of the LCD to go dark, like in a car when you start it - all lights come on briefly as a test. These LCD screens do NOT show all segments go dark in a different pattern for each phone. Then I unpacked a third spare part that had been sitting in the closet for a long time and this one, straight out of the box, has the same problem. (It worked at first before I hid it.) I've searched the internet and it's caused by the adhesive on the LCD ribbon cable peeling off over time, causing some of the contact points to loosen. It's too late to bring her back now. Phillips - you owe me. :OUT
