Review on Hot Tools Taifun Tourmaline Turbo by Cody Hinckley

Really good hair dryer but nothing out of the ordinary

So after being blown away (no pun intended) by the Hot Tools hair dryer, I had very high hopes for this Taifun Ionic AC Motor Dryer. Please note that I'm not a professional so I'm just basing this on my experience with other hair dryers. The first thing that struck me was the weight; this dryer is a little heavier than any others I've used; It feels strong and durable, and the weight is well balanced, which somehow makes it easier to use. It has a slightly rubberized handle that makes it easy to hold, especially when working with wet hair. Drying is pretty good; It doesn't dry as fast as my hair dryer, but dries faster than my $30 hair dryer. I am sure that as a stylist you would often use the cool blow function to style your hair. This is good if you just want a hair blast without the heat, and it's good if you're trying to minimize damage to your hair. Personally, I don't see myself using this feature all that often. Overall, it's certainly a good hair dryer and a lot better than my cheaper $30 Revlon, but I really don't think I'll spend the $100 retail price, let alone overpriced here. . I'm not sure why there is such a discrepancy in price, but I suggest doing a little research and research before purchasing :)
