Letters are made of durable plastic with an adhesive backing. The box I received contained letters, 4 alcohol swabs and 4 primer EN adhesion promoter wipes. THERE ARE NO ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS IN THE BOX! 3 out of 4 alcohol wipes were dry and all 4 sticky wipes were dry when I opened them. I used soapy water to wipe the nicks in the tailgate, rinsed with clean water, then wiped with a dry rag. I then used bottled alcohol with a clean rag. Wait 10 to 15 minutes for it to dry. I cut the backing paper around each letter with scissors, checking the alignment. Peel off the white backing paper and press on all areas of each letter to ensure adhesion. The final step was to remove the clear protective film from each letter. The product itself seems to be of high quality, there are not enough instructions and the napkins are not very good.
