I have fitted these bulbs in non-original taillights. They replaced the original bulbs in my 2018 Toyota Tundra. Plugs into original sockets. When you put it in reverse they flash three times and then stay bright. I think the idea is to warn the people who will be supporting you. The lights flash at the same time. They appear very light and white. All lamps have LED spots and a focusing lens that creates a beam effect from behind. So you get a glow at close range and some sort of beam. As long as they don't cause cruise control malfunctions and the like. (I just installed replacement taillights which broke the trip computer and required additional resistors to work properly). But, well, the first time I tried to remove the factory taillights, I broke them because I couldn't remove one of the dowel pins and the taillight couldn't be reinstalled. I didn't care since I replaced the entire taillight assembly. But if you're just replacing a lightbulb, it could make a difference to you. So be careful with gatherings.
