I found that I had to replace my son's old winter coat after the zipper in it broke, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it knowing he would probably only live in it a year out for the speed at which it is growing. I looked all over Revain until I finally settled on the Free Country Little Boys Soft Shell System 2 in 1 Coat. After reading other reviews I decided to order him a size 7 although he normally wears a size 10 because most of the reviewers wrote that the coat was too big. We chose black and gray with yellow flashes. My son was very excited when it arrived and couldn't wait to try it on. He loves the way he sits and loves the material he's made of. The material is very comfortable and keeps you warm without being too bulky. He loves that the inner bubble jacket can be detached so he can wear it alone or the padded jacket alone on a warm day. The outer shell is made of 100% polyester and therefore not only protects against wind, but also against rain! For the money we spent on it, you couldn't ask for a better jacket.
