Received a nice, well tailored jacket. The outer material is a medium density fabric. Medium taffeta lining. None of these materials turned out to be cheap stuff as expected. It was the quality I expected from Macy's. However, he is small. I usually order from Large to Xtra Large for clothing, but after reading the reviews I ordered 2XL. The shoulder blades are slightly tight when I move both arms forward together, but not so much that it restricts the movement. This is also an "open cut" jacket, it has no buttons or zippers to close the jacket. This is great because if the jacket was buttoned the 2XL wouldn't fit - it would be too tight. ***Overall I am very happy with this purchase. It offers all the content and style of a $250-$400 jacket at a significant savings. I know a bit about clothes. My mother taught me how to see and evaluate clothes over 50 years ago. For over 20 years she worked as a womenswear buyer in the region for JC Penney's. I still sew clothes by hand when my body interacts with my mind.😃
