I rub and polish my car a lot. I usually use 100% US cotton, but I tested different towels and decided to give this one a try. I've used them with a buffing spray which is usually applied between layers of wax and they worked great. They are very light. If you need something very absorbent I wouldn't recommend them. If something needs to be polished, cleaned and streak-free quickly, it worked really well. They also hold up very well. No extra stitching, no fraying and will stand up to constant use. I rate this 5 stars for this app. If I needed them heavy and absorbent I would rate them 3-4 stars for this scenario.
