My small dog isn't into dog food (I cook for him) but on occasion he will eat it during the day. I'm assuming the taste is okay to him. as much as any other dog food. Seems like the ingredients are decent. But I bought this (twice now) because I learned how fast even dry dog food goes bad after you open it. I used to buy 4# bags but since he only eats it once in a while, I ended up having to throw it away before it was even half gone. Unfortunately, I didn't know this before. It can go bad in as little as a few weeks! Since then I've been buying pouches that are only opened as needed.
