After reading some reviews, I learned that this flash drive has a write speed that is faster than the 45 MB that is advertised. While everything else about the drive is exactly as advertised, the read speed is actually faster than advertised. The recording of the video clip has some undulations, which suggests that a high-speed buffer was used here, similar to what is found in affordable SSD drives. The recording of this flash drive as well as an older Verbatim 3.0 32 GB is shown in the screenshot below. The recording speed of the Verbatim is approximately 80 MB and is even; however, it writes little files at a considerably slower rate than the Transcend.
