Very strong, difficult to tear and will not thin with use. You can definitely use a cloth for about 1 week to make it last. However, they do not absorb. When I add water it becomes thin and thin, like a wet cloth. It doesn't absorb water well, making it difficult to use for napkins. You make me itch too! It says 100% bamboo, unbleached, no chlorine, but I'm not sure what could be causing my allergies. maybe a coating is added or a specific ingredient is used when they extract and purify the bamboo pulp. Unfortunately these didn't work for me.
