We put this on a 10ft x 12ft rug a day ago. It's completely dry and still smells like someone just stuffed our noses with turkey baby powder, and I usually don't mind the smell of baby powder. My wife really wants to wash it out with clear water using a carpet steamer. I can't tell you how perfumed and awful this smells - if the smell doesn't go away soon we'll have to remove the carpet. TRUST ME DOGS SMELL WAY BETTER THAN THIS. UPDATE: 72 hours later: Imagine you live next door to a baby powder factory. This is how our living room smells 3 days after applying this stuff according to the package directions. Now we have no choice but to pick up the rug and take it outside.
