They take a little practice but once you get the hang of them they are great! Helpful Tip: If you want tighter and smaller curls, be sure to use smaller strands of hair. I have shoulder length hair and use most of it when I do this. Use large sections of hair if you want big, bouncy curls. In this case I can maybe use 10-12 curlers. At first I had trouble keeping all my strands on the hook, but I found that if you coil the hair at the roots before placing the hook, you can wind the curlers right onto the scalp and all the hair stays up the hook, avoiding tangles.
