The bristles are ideal for brushing your teeth. If you're struggling with receding gum lines because you've been brushing too hard on a regular basis, this is a game changer. I was initially skeptical about using such a soft brush as I always thought hard bristles could scrape plaque from my teeth, but I was wrong. It can cause serious damage to tooth enamel and gums. When I tried the brush, I initially felt like I was putting a wet cotton swab in my mouth, which was extremely uncomfortable, but after a few days of brushing I didn't even realize it. You will get used to it. ****HERE'S THE IMPORTANT PART**** I had to use a different toothbrush when I was staying at a friend's house, it was a regular hard bristle brush, compared to a soft brush it was so scratchy and hurt my teeth and my gums so much - I can't believe I've had dental problems with those hard bristle brushes before! I definitely recommend buying this to protect your gums from deteriorating! You will never know the damage and roughness you cause to your mouth unless you compare a hard and soft toothbrush! BELIEVE ME they will clean your teeth along with the floss :) (Cons: The packaging looked like they just threw the brushes in a dusty box. Had to give the dust a good shake and put the brush I was going to use in Soak mouthwash to make sure it's sanitized.)
