I bought both this jacket and the WD Miami Mesh jacket. Here's my comparison: both use a YKK zip, but the Alpha jacket uses a more durable version - see image. Also, like women's clothing, the zipper on the WD jacket is upside down. The Alpha jacket uses elbow and shoulder pads that are each approximately 2 to 3 inches longer than the pads on the WD jacket. So if you want to protect your ulna and upper shoulder, an Alpha will give you the best protection. The back protectors are the same size on both jackets. Alpha - The WD jacket has 2 inner pockets and they are made better than one pocket. Alpha - The outer pockets, arm and waist bands are comparable to both jackets - the Alpha jacket is approximately 1 inch longer than the body. Both jackets are comfortable. In terms of arm and shoulder freedom, both jackets are comparable. I'm 6ft, 180lbs, 42" chest, 33" waist, both jackets fit perfectly. My arms are 34 inches in the shirt, if your arms are longer you may need to size up for proper coverage. Both are mesh jackets, meaning wind and rain will get through. Therefore it is a good summer jacket. I choose the Alpha jacket. Increased armor protection and increased lightning were decisive for me.
