I have not used it myself although I bought it but my wife who spends hours in the car from one appointment to the next (she is a nurse) says she likes it. I'm not sure if the extra cost of an inverter was worth it, there are plenty of good inverters out there and all laptops run on DC anyway so just get a car cable for your computer. It is very durable, easy and safe to attach to the car. She spends more time in her car than any of us.
