I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sound reproduced by this microphone, especially considering the low price. This is my second purchase. I work on voice recording projects. It's important to me to have a microphone with a good range so that the voice sounds like real life. Too often cheap microphones make voices tinny. That's pretty true for life. There's a bit more noise floor compared to expensive Shure mics, but there's a bit more of that. As soon as you put the recording through the noise filter, it disappears completely. I didn't notice any lag in the microphone response. This is important for voice recordings, as there are often gaps in the sound. Some microphones tend to cut off a millisecond of the first syllable spoken. But these microphones pick up the sound very smoothly. Just a note: they are designed to be used with smartphones that have slightly different audio jack pinouts. To use the microphone on a laptop, you must use the supplied adapter plug.
