I am a fan of car modifications. I hated chrome on my car so after much research I decided to go with vinyl wrap. I didn't buy a plumbing kit but used things I had at home and ended up with the cotton mitt that came with my curling iron, some razor blades, cotton swabs, shammi and a borrowed hair dryer. AGE. i love this stuff It took a little practice so some of the footage was wasted, but I did my job and as long as you're not doing close-ups it looks great. My advice to beginners: take your time. Do not attempt to repair a crease or cut while the vinyl is still warm. The cotton mitt made a huge difference because I could handle warm hot vinyl to smooth it out longer without discomfort or risking my nails poking a hole. Also, move slowly when cutting. Painfully slow to stay on track and have a continuous line when removing the excess. Once you've trimmed the excess, the trick I learned from the video is to heat the edges of the fresh vinyl and smooth the backing as best you can. This is mainly for emblems and grill. With hoods or fenders, you really need to go about an inch or so over the edge. Emblems cannot be removed without creating a nightmare. To attempt!
