Hello, sorry for the delay. But I thought I might be helpful. The distance between the dividers is just under 2 inches, but the very first slot is smaller at 1.75 inches. I use my organizer to store various power adapters, USB sticks and cables and to keep these items tidy, which I really like. I cut out some of the plastic to accommodate some of my larger adapters. I just thought I'd mention it. The organizer is robust and can withstand a lot. It locks well and is beautiful due to its crisp appearance. I have several of these (all tagged on the outside) and store them in a closet in the garage. Great for organizing things in the garage! Hope this will help! :)
