So as soon as I put the batteries in to try the scale I started hearing popping noises the scale reading error and when I checked the batteries, The back of the scale was hot to the touch and the batteries were leaking liquid and starting to smell like burnt plastic. I use these batteries for almost everything so it's not the batteries and it's quite disconcerting to see how quickly the scale heats up. I would like a refund for this product, it wasn't cheap and didn't even work and I have a feeling it's about to explode. I know the last part was a bit over the top, but because of the pops, it sounded like I was roasting chicken. comes from the back of the scale
