Poor workmanship, but the lid itself works.
The product worked as advertised on my 2009 Chevrolet Suburban but the little T on the end that secures the gas cap to the car was missing so I now hold it in my hand every time I open the gas cap I'm tanking up instead of just letting it dangle I figured it was pretty crappy stuff coming like this.
