it is easy to assemble and seems strong enough. Our kitchen has very tall and narrow cabinets. As they are narrow I have to use the top shelves but I can't reach them unaided. That means I need a step stool that's always close at hand. Because it's there all the time, I wanted it to be pretty, not foldable metal. It's functional, it's attractive, it's easy to assemble, and for all of those reasons I think it's a good price.
