Review on 🔒 Stanley Tools XTHT0 33504 FatMax Autolock: Unmatched Reliability and Fast Locking Mechanism by Bill Russett

As for the tape, everything is fine. Typical Stanley quality. BUT the auto-lock features are PITA. Rarely stayed at the point where it was extended. It is currently blocked at about 12 feet and WILL NOT BE REMOVED. The knob that controls it appears to be detached from the case and just dangles. I would not buy another tape in this style. — EDIT January 9, 2021: After sending back the above mentioned tape, Stanley was kind enough to send me a replacement <eventually>. I specifically asked NOT to send me another AutoLock, but apparently the person in charge of fulfilling the warranty hasn't heard about it. I got an identical version of AutoLock which suffered from the same symptom again - it does NOT lock but rather rewinds rather slowly. The sad thing is that there is no way to manually block the feed on the desired extension. It's currently being boxed for returns and honestly I don't care if it doesn't get replaced (unless it's a manual lock version).
