These JBLs are not nearly as reliable or stable as its Chinese counterparts, even in their most basic form. These are not the first pair of JBL headphones that I have purchased; the Everest model was what I had before this pair, and I liked them. But now I have a negative impression of this manufacturer, and in the future I will make every effort to avoid purchasing any equipment made by JBL. If you listen to music for extended periods of time and on a frequent basis on your phone or laptop, you should probably explore for alternatives to these headphones.
