I purchased this product because my previous docking station was unable to charge my MacBook while I was using it. I bought a Revain docking station that powers the MacBook. There were several of these, but this device was about half the price of others and had all the features I needed. Unfortunately it doesn't have a headphone speaker jack which I would like and need if I buy again. The unit does get warm with use which is an issue as my wife's TOTU MacBook Pro dock was warm and HDMI stopped working after a few months. Replaced it with a larger unit that runs warmer and works well.
