Makes it easy to travel and work with chargers, media, cables, etc.

I've had issues with the amount of chargers, cables, etc. I carry in my computer/shoulder bag. I used an old zipped case but this caused two problems: 1. A clutter and jumble of cables and chargers - if I only need one cable I have to look for the right one. In other words, it's troublesome to take something out without unpacking everything.2. Big dent on the back of my messenger - since everything fits in the bag, it turns out to be a wide bag, awkward to handle on planes etc. (and it's inconvenient to carry around). After spending way too much time researching (for such a cheap item) I ordered this one. (I could probably go up a size since I carry a 15" MacBook Pro, but I decided to start with this one.) I usually carry: MacBook charger. USB charger and 4-port power cord. 2 Lightning cables for iOS 1 mini-USB charging cable Zagg 2-port battery Jockery battery pack SanDisk Wireless Connect battery USB flash drive On long flights without an outlet, there can not be too much power on the plane - for shorter trips leave I usually do some of it at home - but I'm not allowed to anymore. All of these items fit snugly in the Grid-It, and I can grab items from the top row (like my MacBook charger) without even removing it from my pocket. During a recent extended layover at the Detroit airport, I just got addicted to plugging my iPhone into the Jockery charger while it was still tucked into the Grid-It and in my pocket. This solved both of the problems listed above - my bag is thinner and easier to manage, and I can now get what I need very quickly without rummaging through my bag or untangling cords. The only downsides I could list (not worth deducting a star): - The back pocket seems relatively useless to me. Maybe I could keep some tissues for my screens, cloth etc. I feel like it's not big enough to stuff paper, but I think it would work for receipts and the like. It doesn't ruin the product though - it just doesn't seem that useful to me. - It's a bit heavy even with nothing attached to it. The weight seems to come from all that high performance rubber though, so I wouldn't trade durability for a little less weight. I'm really happy with the purchase.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
