I'm surprised I was able to get decent photos to show you. clips work. Pearls, of course, not real, but a strong frame. The clip is some kind of metal. I found burrs but they didn't scratch me and are easy to file with a nail file to avoid scratching my hair. The design is beautiful. Almost as big as my head. If you have really long or thick hair, this is a good hair clip. Now all I need is a clip organizer.
