This rock comes in very handy for removing burnt grease from the grill grate and all INSIDE of the grill. Don't try to use it on exterior surfaces - it will completely ruin the finish! It will take some warm water and some time, but eventually it will remove everything, leaving dull but clean stainless steel or iron. Received 3 rocks and a useless little mini towel that went straight into the bin. They clean and any residue left behind can simply be wiped off. Be sure to "clean" the grate with heat afterwards to vaporize any remaining residue.
