The clasp is very difficult to open but that is why it should not open by itself It was a gift for my wife but no matter how hard she tried she could get the clasp Do not open. I also struggled because it's not entirely clear how it opens, and the "Open Here" marker is so small that our poor eyesight made it difficult to see. My wife also liked her gift very much.
