Smaller than expected and not as strong. I still love it a lot and love that it gives my jewelry a more organized look. It doesn't hold much, so if you're a person with a lot of jewelry or everyday jewelry, you might need more than one. I wouldn't put anything heavy on it. I like the idea that it can be painted or stained, it looks like an unfinished tree.
