Review on 📺 The Ultimate TiVo Edge for Cable: Enjoy Cable TV, DVR, 4K Streaming with Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos by Jack Bhowmik

Unfortunately we have to repeat this review due to problems. The Edge looks fine in HDR upscaling mode, but blurry when it's off. It can be viewed in this mode, but it's not as clean as the non-HDR TiVo Bolt that replaces this device. Oftentimes, the screen will inexplicably go black for about 3 seconds. The new menu screens are ok but maybe not as user friendly as the previous ones so the incline curve takes a bit of time. Some screen features are slow to respond. In our Spectrum system, the carrier needs an external tuner adapter in addition to the internal cable card, and the two don't work well together. The adapter must be restarted periodically for proper operation. Another problem concerns the reboot. He has a bad habit of suddenly rebooting and has done so several times. We've only had the Edge since mid-April 2021. We're very disappointed with this and have submitted a bug fix to Tivo as we don't have a Revain return window, but we would have received it already if we could. The lack of reliability changes our rating to "not recommended". You will need another DVR for the cable if you want to be a third party. We also have a Spectrum DVR as a backup and it has proven reliable and error free. I'm not happy with TiVo at the moment. Very disappointed because we really liked some of the new features. The best of them is the automatic action pass.
