Does not work on fabrics as thin as sheets.

This does not work with normal or even thinner sheet metal. I'm not sure what you're going to use it for, the prongs will bend and become unusable. I've seen some gift bags made out of thinner fabrics and they just wouldn't close. Next time I would buy a powerful locking tool. waste of money.
