I was hesitant to order these but I am so glad I did. I've never used massage shampoo so can't compare it to others but it helped a little. It lasts no longer than my usual fingertip massage, but my head feels extra clean. My sometimes flaky scalp was completely dandruff free and I was even able to reduce shampooing from every other day to every third day without my hair looking or feeling greasy. The studs are pointed and hard, but not too sharp or hard, and I love that it's all one piece so there's no risk of it breaking or getting moldy on the inside. A fantastic purchase in all respects to be honest.
