The pockets are made of dense fleece. While not waterproof, they are water repellent and certainly provide an impressive barrier between clothing and the damaging effects of light, dust and dirt. An eyelet at the bottom of the bag makes it easy to fold to shorten the length if needed. The zipper makes a good impression and works perfectly. Although the clear vinyl window allows a view inside, I would have preferred the bag without it. I bought them to transport and store my flower girl dresses and personalized each one with a heat transfer vinyl cutout. It should be noted that squeezing the pouches together isn't strictly recommended, but I did it gently, only pressing for 15 seconds to adhere the vinyl and the pouches are perfect for my purposes. For the price, I will also use them to store seasonally worn and special keepsake clothing.
