If you don't know, diabetic cats can sometimes do this because they drink a TON of water and pee TONN. Ton. However, I ordered a different brand case and when it arrived I knew it wouldn't work. So I ordered that. It has a very soft side but a slightly stiff and grippy back. We put another slipcover on our sofa to keep it from moving and I love it. It definitely works. I even took it to the sink and rinsed one spot because it had urine in one small spot and when I flushed it into the sink my hand was on the bottom and my hand never got wet. it was wonderful! It is washable and suitable for tumble drying. Putting it in the washer dryer is a headache. And the fans make a strange noise in the dryer that makes it look like someone is dying there. I even had to double check and it was just the cover. However. When you want something that can hold almost any amount of liquid without seeping through to the other side, and you want something as soft as possible. This is the item you want. If you prefer sheer softness to absorbency, choose something else. But I guarantee this is the best for storing a significant amount of liquid. I'm sitting on it as I write this review.
