I'm torn between Festool or Micro jig clamps but Micro jig clamps definitely have a few major advantages over Festool clamps. Having owned both, I can confidently say the clamps match the match. Both clamps are very similar in strength, price, and overall clamping capacity, but that's where the similarities end. I have tried unsuccessfully to use my miter saw to get a perfectly straight cut on a curved and rounded piece. In the end I decided to make a simple attachment and try to make the same cut on a table saw. The Matchfit system made cutting easy and reproducible. I only wish they came in packs of 8 or 12 with a discount. You can also remove and turn the clamping head on the fitting while Festool is permanently fixed. In addition, matchfit's new grips offer a more comfortable grip and less slippage when maximum force is applied to the clamp.
