I bought a laser to repair a PS3 player. After troubleshooting and searching the web, I was optimistic that I needed a new laser to bring my PS-3 back to life. If the repair wasn't successful, I swore I wouldn't invest any more time or money and just throw the PS-3 away. The laser worked perfectly, so I give 5 stars. There are some good videos on YouTube showing how to perform a laser replacement. Some mechanical skills and special tools (small screwdrivers and sprockets) are required.
