Review on 🚗 Arkon GPS Car Mount: Flexible Gooseneck Suction Mount for Garmin nuvi 40 50 200 2013 24x5 25x5 Series GPS, Ideal for Windshields by Brian Smith

My Oregon 550t came with a windshield mount that never worked. The device always fell off after about a quarter of an hour. Searching the web doesn't mention any non-Garmin windshield mount compatible with Oregon. Because of this, I experimented with vent mounting options that never worked properly. After years of frustration I took a gamble and bought this Arkon mount and it's fantastic. Considering the gooseneck, it outperforms the tiny Garmin mount if it worked. Here's a tip that has resulted in the product keeping the device perfectly still on numerous backcountry adventures: Grind the ball just enough to add some texture. Although advertised for the nuvi, this product will work with any Garmin device that has a 17mm ball base. By posting this review, I hope Oregon owners never have to spend as much time looking for a working windshield mount as I did.
