I bought them for Christmas lights last year. I had them outside in a not very visible place and paid little attention to them. This year I placed them on my bathrobe and on another shelf above the TV. I really dislike the manic mode of these lights and set them to solid mode. When the light is turned off and back on, which happens every night with a timer, the light goes back into that crazy manic mode. They don't stay on all the time unless I reprogram them - and when I turn them back off it's back in that crazy flashing mode. This is very annoying. The lights are a nice color and clear plastic, but this inability to keep the choice is a real handicap.
